Taylor Swift Skips Chiefs-Raiders Game in Las Vegas as Kansas City Wins 30-27

DirecTV, Hulu + Live TV, and Fubo offered free trials to eligible customers, providing a way to watch without paying upfront. Taylor Swift did not make the trip to Las Vegas for the Kansas City Chiefs' Week 4 game against the Raiders, according to multiple reports from Sunday. The singer was not shown on the CBS broadcast, and there were no confirmed sightings of her at Allegiant Stadium as of kickoff.

Swift's absence followed her surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live the previous evening, where she crashed host Dakota Johnson's monologue. The two are close friends, and Johnson has been staying at Swift's New York City apartment while spending time with musician Machine Gun Kelly, according to the New York Post. Travis Kelce, Swift's husband, had just two catches for 15 yards in the victory.

Receiver Tyquan Thornton suffered a gruesome ankle injury during the contest, the New York Post reported. Swift had attended Kansas City's first two home games of the season at Arrowhead Stadium. She watched the Sept. 14 opener against the Denver Broncos from a suite with Tom Cruise, then returned for the Sept. 20 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts.

When Kelce scored his first touchdown of the season in that game, Swift pointed to her wedding ring and shouted, "That's my husband!" according to Billboard. She skipped the Chiefs' Week 3 road game against the Miami Dolphins on Sept. 27, the same day she appeared at the MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles, where her music video for "Patient Zero" premiered. The video stars Johnson and Colin Farrell.

Cosmopolitan's overview of Kansas City's 2026 schedule cited security considerations surrounding appearances at unfamiliar venues as a key factor, according to Marca. She has not attended one of Kelce's road games since the 2024 season. The Chiefs and Raiders both entered Sunday with 3-0 records, marking the first time the division rivals had met while both were undefeated through their first three games, Billboard noted.

For fans hoping to watch the game online, CBS carried the broadcast, with streaming available through DirecTV, Hulu + Live TV, Fubo, and Paramount+. Swift's recent preference for home games has been widely noted.
