Macklemore's Free Palestine Tour Sells Out Immediately Across Dublin, Paris and London
The rapper said Dublin, Paris, and London shows sold out within a week of being announced, following his removal from Ed Sheeran's Loop Tour.

Macklemore's three-date Free Palestine Tour has sold out, the rapper confirmed on Wednesday in an Instagram post. The European run, which includes stops at Dublin's 3Arena on Oct. 26, Paris' Accor Arena on Oct. 29, and London's OVO Arena Wembley on Oct. 30, sold out immediately after tickets went on sale, according to Billboard and The Hollywood Reporter.
The announcement came less than a week after Macklemore initially revealed the concerts, which are being organized to raise funds for organizations supporting Palestinians. Proceeds will benefit a dozen organizations, including Gaza Soup Kitchen, Medical Aid for Palestinians, and the Palestine Children's Relief Fund, Billboard reported.
"I'm honestly blown away," Macklemore wrote on Instagram. "We put these shows together fast and in community, believing that musicians can stand in solidarity with Palestine, use the stage to raise funds and show what collective action can look like."
The tour follows a turbulent month for the rapper. On Sept. 4, during his opening set for Ed Sheeran's Loop Tour at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, Macklemore stated "Free Palestine" from the stage. He was subsequently removed from the tour. Sheeran said in a statement that the decision was made by the promoter, not by him, and that several venues had threatened to cancel the tour if Macklemore remained on the bill, according to Billboard.
Other opening acts, including Finneas, Lukas Graham, and Aaron Rowe, dropped out of the tour in solidarity with Macklemore. Sheeran later addressed the controversy during a Philadelphia concert, calling the situation in Gaza "catastrophic and unjustifiable," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Macklemore has not yet revealed which artists will join him for the "Macklemore and Friends" shows, but said lineups are "coming soon." He thanked fans in Dublin, Paris, and London for their response, writing, "The response to these shows is another reminder of how many people across the world are standing together for a free Palestine."
