Tom DeLonge surprises fans at blink-182 x PAC-MAN Comic-Con booth

The booth, number 1415, had been a planned part of San Diego Comic-Con since the collaboration was announced earlier in the month, but DeLonge’s presence was not on the schedule. The posts showed DeLonge at the arcade-themed space, which featured co-branded arcade cabinets and a claw machine filled with PAC-MAN plush toys and blink-182 items. The booth debuted exclusive merchandise, including a limited-edition, numbered vinyl produced by Blood Records containing the tracks “The Rock Show” and “First Date.”

A blink-182 version of the PAC-MAN x 7-Eleven T-shirt, originally worn by bassist Mark Hoppus during the band’s Coachella 2023 set, was also on sale. The shirt, which blends punk rock humor with arcade nostalgia, became a memorable part of that performance, as noted by The Music Universe and other outlets. The fan-captured moments at the booth quickly circulated, underscoring the enduring draw of the pop-punk trio, which has sold over 50 million albums worldwide and amassed more than 16 billion streams, according to the press release.

San Diego Comic-Con 2026 ran from July 23 to July 26, with the blink-182 x PAC-MAN booth designed as an immersive experience. Attendees could also take photos with PAC-MAN and Bunny characters during show hours, adding to the interactive nature of the activation. The collaboration comes amid a period of renewed activity for blink-182, whose most recent album, One More Time…, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in 2023.

A deluxe reissue of Take Off Your Pants and Jacket was released in June, further celebrating the album’s anniversary. The collaboration marks the 25th anniversary of the band’s 2001 album Take Off Your Pants and Jacket, according to a press release from Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc.
