Patrick Holland to Lead Combined Banijay U.K. as CEO and Executive Chair After All3Media Merger

Banijay Entertainment confirmed on Thursday that Patrick Holland will stay on as executive chairman and CEO of Banijay U.K., the expanded division created by the company's $8 billion merger with All3Media. The appointment, announced after the deal closed, puts Holland in charge of a portfolio that the company says comprises around 40 creative labels and produces more than 2,000 hours of content annually. He will report to Marco Bassetti, CEO of Banijay Entertainment, who framed the decision as part of a broader strategy of keeping local executives in charge of regional portfolios.

The combined U.K. business brings together Banijay's existing labels, including The Forge and Garrison Drama, with All3Media's production companies. Holland, who joined Banijay U.K. in May 2022 from the BBC, has overseen recent launches such as Half Man for BBC and HBO, House of Guinness and Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man for Netflix, and Last One Laughing for Prime Video. Upcoming titles under his watch include All or Nothing, Beautiful Obsession, Will You Marry Me? and Reputation.

In 2023 he launched the Banijay U.K. Growth Fund to back emerging and established creatives, and the company won Best Production Group at the Edinburgh TV Festival in 2024. Banijay also noted that the U.K. business was recognized as a Sunday Times Best Place to Work in 2026. Holland also acknowledged the leadership of All3Media's outgoing executives, Jane Turton and Sara Geater, who he said had built 'a phenomenal creative and commercial force.'

Turton has moved into the role of deputy CEO of Banijay Entertainment, according to the company. The integration of the two businesses comes as the U.K. production sector faces what Banijay described as 'seismic changes in demand, technology and funding,' with streamer investment and cost pressures reshaping commissioning. Banijay Entertainment, headquartered in London and jointly owned by Banijay Group and RedBird IMI, now describes itself as the world's largest independent production company, spanning 25 territories across content creation, distribution, digital, live events and sport.

Holland's tenure has been marked by investment in talent and scripted growth.
