Nicole Kidman joins TikTok with behind-the-scenes video from 'Practical Magic 2' premiere

Nicole Kidman spent years telling interviewers she had never been on TikTok. In a December interview with The Hollywood Reporter, she said, "I've never been on TikTok," and described being shown clips by people around her. That changed on August 27, 2026, when the actress launched an official account with a behind-the-scenes montage from the London premiere of Practical Magic 2, which she attended the previous evening.

The video, captioned "Magic brought me here," opens with Kidman getting ready, showing her hair and makeup team at work before she blows a kiss to the camera. It then follows her through the evening, including moments with co-stars Sandra Bullock, Joey King, Maisie Williams, Diane Wiest, Stockard Channing, and Xolo Maridueña, according to E! News. The montage also captures Kidman laughing with Bullock, hugging Wiest, dancing with King, and signing autographs for fans.

The soundtrack is ADÉLA's 2026 single "Ain't in LA." ADÉLA's upcoming debut album PRIMA includes a track titled "Nicole Kidman." On the Practical Magic 2 red carpet a fan asked Kidman if she knew the Slovakian singer.

"I absolutely know who she is," Kidman replied in a now-viral clip. "She's coming to Nashville and I'm going to go see her." The E! News report described the video as "practically magic" and detailed the Chanel sequined seafoam green strapless gown Kidman wore to the premiere, with pearl-accented gold chains across the bodice.

Kidman's TikTok debut arrives as Practical Magic 2 prepares for a September 11 theatrical release. The sequel sees Kidman reprise her role as Gilly Owens, a character she first played in the 1998 comedy alongside Bullock. The new film's cast also includes Joey King, Maisie Williams, and Xolo Maridueña.

The actress has two teenage daughters, Sunday, 18, and Faith, 15, with ex-husband Keith Urban. In the December interview, she acknowledged hearing about TikTok trends through others, saying, "I have people around me that go, 'Did you see this on TikTok?' So then they'll show me a couple of seconds of it, and I'll be like, 'Oh my God. That's so funny.'"
