Miley Cyrus announces new album 'Bass Persuades' and first Hollywood Bowl shows

Miley Cyrus is returning to the concert stage this fall with two nights at the Hollywood Bowl, her first headline shows at the Los Angeles venue. The performances, set for Oct. 16 and 18, arrive less than a month after the release of her 10th studio album, Bass Persuades, which arrives Sept. 18 via Atlantic Records. Cyrus announced the album and the shows on Instagram on Tuesday, Sept. 1, alongside a black-and-white cover image that shows her holding a rose in her mouth.

The album marks her first release since leaving Sony Music for Atlantic Records, a move reported by The Hollywood Reporter. In her caption, Cyrus described the record as "powerful, vulnerable, sweet and strong," adding that the title reflects "heart full, heartache, every part of life in between." Billboard characterized the album as "vulnerable," and the tracklist includes collaborations with Model/Actriz and Andrew Wyatt of Miike Snow.

In a separate Instagram post about the shows, Cyrus wrote, "It's been a while," and called the venue her "favorite place to experience music and see my favorite artists." She added, "I've sat in those seats many times, but I've never taken the stage." Tickets for the Bowl shows go on sale through an American Express presale on Sept. 8 at 10 a.m. PT, followed by an artist presale and a Spotify Reserved presale before the general sale on Sept. 10.

A press release for Bass Persuades noted that the new era "arrives as Miley continues to honor the profound influence" of Parton. A signed vinyl edition of Bass Persuades sold out instantly on her web store after the announcement, according to Pop Crave. The album's tracklist, shared by Pop Base, includes 10 songs, with "Different Religion" featuring Model/Actriz and "Neon Signs" featuring Andrew Wyatt of Miike Snow.
