Leah Remini Joins 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Season 16 Cast

Leah Remini has signed on as a full-time cast member for Season 16 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, according to multiple reports published Tuesday. Remini herself wrote "It's true!!" on Instagram, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. Bravo confirmed the news to E! News, which noted that production on the season began earlier this summer.

Remini joins former Million Dollar Listing star Tracy Tutor as the second new addition. Tutor had confirmed her own casting on Instagram on Aug. 19, writing, "The secret's officially out. I'm joining the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and I could not be more excited for this next chapter." The 56-year-old Remini is best known for her sitcom work, including The King of Queens and Kevin Can Wait.

She has prior reality television experience, having starred in TLC's Leah Remini: It's All Relative and competed on Dancing With the Stars. Her two Emmy Awards came from creating, hosting, and executive producing Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath, which investigated the Church of Scientology after she left the organization in 2013. According to Variety, as cited by E! News, the Season 16 cast will include returning full-time members Kyle Richards, Erika "Jayne" Girardi, Dorit Kemsley, Bozoma Saint John, Rachel Zoe, and Sutton Stracke.

Kathy Hilton and Jennifer Tilly will return as "friends" of the cast. Amanda Frances, who joined in Season 15, announced on Aug. 5 that she would not be returning. Past cast members have included Denise Richards, Lisa Rinna, Garcelle Beauvais, and Eileen Davidson.

Remini is represented by WME and Del Shaw Moonves Tanaka Finkelstein & Lezcano, according to The Hollywood Reporter. E! News said it had reached out to Remini's representatives for comment but had not heard back.
