FX's 'Adults' Season 2 premieres tonight on FXX and Hulu with all eight episodes

When the first season of FX's Adults ended, the young housemates were left with a sudden romantic spark between Paul Baker and Anton that threatened to upend the group's careful equilibrium. FX confirmed the premiere date alongside the release of the official trailer, which arrived Wednesday and teased the "hilarious shenanigans" awaiting the friends, according to TV Insider. The season will debut with all eight episodes available on Hulu beginning at 9/8c, while FXX airs the first two episodes that night and two new episodes each subsequent Thursday.

The show made its Season 2 world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in June, where a panel featuring the cast and creators also screened the prequel episode "Marathon Day." Season 2 brings back the core cast: Malik Elassal as Samir, Lucy Freyer as Billie, Jack Innanen as Paul Baker, Amita Rao as Issa, and Owen Thiele as Anton. New guest stars include Gaten Matarazzo, Jake Lacy, Raven-Symoné, Susie Essman, Zosia Mamet, Ben Marshall, Jake Shane, and Isaac Powell, according to TV Insider.

Created by Rebecca Shaw and Ben Kronengold, Adults returns with questions the show's official synopsis poses directly: "What if the 20-year-old who inherited your fake ID is cooler than you ever were?" The friends continue to weave "intricate webs of multi-player strategy just to avoid hurting someone else's feelings," per the synopsis. The series has drawn comparisons to Girls and Broad City for its grounded take on twenty-something life in New York, according to High on Films.

Season 1 premiered May 28, 2025, and FX renewed the comedy that October.
