Evan Peters to Play Five Roles in 'American Horror Story' Season 13, Including Tate Langdon

"And I thought it was like, 'Oh, this is going to be trouble.' But Evan is such a pro that I think it only took two takes." The season, officially titled 13, will consist of 13 half-hour episodes. American Horror Story fans who have followed the anthology since its 2011 debut will see a familiar face when Season 13 premieres on September 24.

The footage shows Peters alongside Jessica Lange and Sarah Paulson, both of whom are also returning. Variety reported that Lange will reprise all four of her former characters, Peters will play five different people, and Paulson will play six. Peters' five roles include three of his antagonists: Tate Langdon, Kai Anderson from Cult, and James Patrick March from Hotel.

Creator Ryan Murphy addressed the demands of the role in an interview with Vogue. "The person who I think had the hardest time was Evan, because in one scene he had to play Tate/Rubber Man and Kai. So he had to have a conversation with himself," Murphy said, as quoted by CinemaBlend. FX has scheduled the premiere for 9 p.m. ET on September 24, with episodes streaming on Hulu the next day.

The first two weeks will feature three episodes each, followed by two episodes weekly until the finale on October 29, according to The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline. Peters' return is part of an all-star season that also includes Emma Roberts, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, and Billie Lourd, among others. Murphy has described the installment as an Avengers-style crossover between all previous seasons, with a focus on the show's greatest villains.

The main antagonist, he teased, is "above [the] pay grade" of the Antichrist from Apocalypse, according to Phantasmag. American Horror Story: 13 premieres Thursday, September 24 on FX and Hulu in the United States, and on Disney+ internationally.
