Cardi B sets 'AH HA' music video release for this Friday

That surprise drop was Cardi's first new music of the year, following her September 2025 album Am I the Drama?, which topped the Billboard 200. The song generated immediate discussion when Cardi previewed it on Instagram on July 27, performing the hook in a Dominican Republic bikini on the beach. One lyric in particular, "A n—a can't trap me, I won't keep it," drew speculation that it was aimed at ex-boyfriend Stefon Diggs.

Cardi addressed the line during an Instagram Live session on July 28, pushing back on the idea that having a child with someone means a woman cannot leave. "I know exactly how I felt when I said that s—t," she said, according to Billboard. "You could have a baby with a n—a, and sometimes n—as think that because you have a baby with them or you gonna keep a baby or you have a baby that you won't move the f—k on or you'll stay there taking s—t. Nah, b—h, I'll take my baby and get the f—k on."

In the track, Cardi raps, "Black trucks at the club look like Trump in this b—h, f—k him," continuing a pattern of public criticism of the president. The single's cover art shows Cardi in the same flag bikini from the initial teaser, tying the visual identity together. Cardi has been active on the road this year. She kicked off the Little Miss Drama Tour in February, her first headlining North American trek, and has continued to perform since the album's release.
